I’m not Stephen Dixon’s agent; he’s just got a lot going on, okay?

So, there’s a new Stephen Dixon novel due out in January 2013? Well, I’ll go one better: There’s an old one—a lost novel—that’s out right now. Like Tisch, Story of a Story and Other Stories was written in the late 1960s, shelved for decades, and then brought out through the efforts of a small independent press.

I’m glad I search for new Dixonia periodically, because it’s not like the mainstream book media reports on or cares about the man, who will be regarded as one of American fiction’s finest practitioners in 30 years. Kudos to Fugue State Press for publishing this one.
