Mom, bullets, and Spielberg

This is indeed a new post (7/30/10).

A week ago, film critic Matt Zoller Seitz asked me to contribute 350 words or so to a slideshow essay titled “The movie experience I can’t forget,” for Salon. I was honored to be asked by him, and humbled to present my work in such a large, internationally-known forum.  I gave it my best, by showing two sides of my mother, during and after a screening of Jurassic ParkGo read it (and all the others).  My contribution is #10.
