The countdown begins

The full list of this year’s Toronto International Film Festival movies is now available, and everyone’s gettin’ wet panties, myself included. I’ll be a TIFF virgin, there from the late afternoon of September 6 until the morning of September 12. Please take a look at the list, at the descriptions on the TIFF official site, and offer this befuddled, bedazzled blogger some suggestions. Please. I know I’m down for the new Takashi Miike joint and the Weerasethakul/Emigholz double bill, and the new John Sayles feature (if it plays while I’m there–the times haven’t been posted yet). Beyond that, though, I’m working with month-old notes, vague rumblings in my head, and the kindness of strangers’ suggestions. So, be a stranger and suggest. If you’ve headed to Toronto for the trip up, let me know; maybe we’ll meet.

By the way, 1st Thursday is the best resource for TIFF-goers out there, though Girish is a close second.

I’m excited beyond belief.
