The Cybils: A reminder

Nominations for the Cybils are open until 20 November 2006. See my original–but updated–message (below) regarding the awards.

The committee for the Children’s and YA Bloggers’ Literary Awards (hereinafter called the Cybils) is asking for nominations for the best children’s books published in 2006, in a broad range of categories. Yours truly will be a judge in the poetry category, despite my lapses in said field, and there will also be awards for graphic novels, fiction, fantasy and science fiction, picture books, and nonfiction.

Nominations close on November 20th, so head over there now. The nominations process is open to everyone, but please read the rules before nominating a book. I’ll post more details as they come, but the best source of information is the main website. Spread the word.

UPDATE: My fellow judges include: Kelly Fineman, Notes from the Windowsill, Gregory K., and Jone (who doesn’t have a website). For the record, I nominated Frank Portman’s King Dork for the Young Adult Fiction category.
